Linux Tutorials
These pages will contain some Linux basics, aimed initially at Linux newbies. There are so many distributions out there that is is impossible for one person to cover all of them. I'm starting off with Linux Mint as I have my father, Uncle and some friends using that. It's also one of my favourite distros so I am familiar with it. I also use Manjaro KDE and AVLiuux so there will be some tutorials following for them.
I'm going to cover the same ground in each system, enough to give newbies the chance to look around and get to grips with the basics. Maybe I'll then start on some more advanced things, but as I have other tutorials to write as well, they may not be quick to arrive.
Linux ISO
To install Linux, you will nee to download the distros ISO file from their web site and create a bootable USB flash drive or DVD. Rather than create multiple flash drives from which to boot, download Ventoy. Ventoy allows you to store multiple ISO files on the same flash drive, boot up into the drive and select the distro ISO you want to run the live disk from. It means you can quickly try several distros and decide which one is for you without having to install them unitl you have tried the different distros. ome installations are easier than others, but if you are using a modern pc with UEFI BIOS, there are some consideratins you must follow when you are installing the dstro. You can download Ventoy here
